All You Need Is Love

Valentine's Day may have a reputation for being an excuse for greeting card companies to make money, but I still think it is a fun excuse to celebrate your love for someone. Whether that someone is a husband, boyfriend, best friend, or family member, it's always important to tell that someone that you love them.

So in the spirit of Valentine's Day, I decided to think back on some of my favorite couples in literature. Some of them have burning passion for each other. Others more or less have love that appears to be obsession. And others just seem to be the perfect married couple. Whatever they are, these couples bring a smile to my face and represent what love is. Who's your favorite couple?

*Romeo & Juliet
*Rhett Butler & Scarlett O'Hara
*Fitzwilliam Darcy & Elizabeth Bennet
*Jamie Fraser & Claire Beauchamp
*Captain Frederick Wentworth & Anne Elliot
*Noah Calhoun & Allie Hamilton
*The Chairman & Nitta Sayuri
*Arthur & Molly Weasley
...............and last, but certainly not least:
*Edward Cullen & Bella Swan

Happy Valentine's Day!

Ha! I thought of Jamie and Claire before even seeing the choices! I love those two! My second choice is Arthur and Molly Weasley...they don't have much but their family and love and like you said...love is all you need!

Aw so cute that you thought to include the Weasley couple. I would never have thought to include them on a list of great literary couples. Rhett and Scarlett are my favorite though.

I know how both of you feel about the Arthur and Molly Weasley. They don't have many material things, but it's clear how much that family loves one another! Makes me want to reread them right now!

I have lots of favorites...most of them not literary. LOL Jimmy Nash and Tess Bailey stick out in my head. I love their story...and the fact that it doesn't quite end at the completion of their book. Unlike most romance novels, they have ups and downs in later books, but they stay true. :)
